About Us
Bryan and Abby Stinemetze have built their lives—and their business—around a shared commitment to horsemanship and ranching.
Bryan began starting colts at the age of 15 while also riding saddle broncs and bulls. His career took him from ranch work to the film industry as a stuntman, and eventually to working alongside some of the top reining and cow horse trainers in the industry. After several years of training horses for the public and hosting clinics, Bryan felt the pull back to ranch life. That path led him to the Forks division of the Padlock Ranch near Decker, Montana, where he and Abby began a long-distance relationship that would later become a partnership in both life and business.
Abby started showing horses at just six years old, thanks to the support of a family friend who helped open doors early on. She continued to build her experience by working for trainers and cattlemen, taking every opportunity to expand her knowledge and skillset. After marrying Bryan, she became an integral part of their operation. Her expertise in cattle health proved invaluable, eventually leading her to take on roles as head cowboy and managing departments within feedlot operations. She also spent two years working in a saddle tree shop, gaining a deep, hands-on understanding of saddle construction from the ground up.
Today, Bryan and Abby continue to live the lifestyle that shaped them—working horseback, showing cow horses, and hauling their son Sage to rodeos, where he competes in mini bull riding.
They founded 77 Camp Saddlery with a clear purpose: to build high-quality saddles for people who rely on them every day. Their approach is rooted in experience and a commitment to continuous improvement, never settling for “good enough.” Bryan, a self-described “saddle nerd,” pays close attention to the details that matter—from regional styles to discipline-specific needs and preferences.
Their customers value that connection, knowing the people behind 77 Camp Saddlery understand the realities of life horseback.
